How fees work
milsiz adds a flat 15% platform fee at checkout, paid by the buyer on top of the artist's listing price. It covers our service plus payment-processing, transfer, and routing costs. The artist keeps their full listing.
The buyer sees the artist's listing, any venue commission, and the platform fee — all itemised upfront at checkout.
Who gets what
Two scenarios per medium. Both transparent, all parties shown.
Artist → Collector
An artist lists a work, a collector buys it directly from the artist's page on milsiz. No venue involved.
Artist → Venue → Collector
An artist's work is on display at a partnered venue — online in milsiz's exhibition space and/or in person. The collector buys through the exhibition; the sale is attributed to the venue per the collab agreement.
Exact split is set in the collab agreement between artist and venue. milsiz doesn't dictate the rate.
Zero commission on tips.
When a fan tips an artist, milsiz takes no commission. The only deduction is the fee charged by the payment infrastructure providers (Stripe and the downstream transfer / routing services) — passed through transparently. The rest goes to the artist. Tips can be sent fully anonymously or under an alias of your choice — no account required.

Do I need my own Stripe account?
No. milsiz handles payment processing for you. To receive payouts you only need a bank account with an IBAN.
When do I get paid?
Payouts go out within 10 days of cleared payment, via SWIFT or equivalent transfer to the IBAN you provide. The artist receives their full listing price, less any venue commission they agreed with the hosting venue. Buyers cover the platform fee at checkout.
Do artists need a subscription?
No. Artists pay nothing until something sells. Only venues have a monthly subscription.
Can collectors pay at the venue?
Yes. Every artwork on display can carry a QR code that opens a buy or tip link, so payment can happen anywhere — at the venue, at home, on the road. All transactions still flow through milsiz so the artist gets paid and the sale is recorded. To buy, the collector needs an account. Tips do not require an account and can be sent anonymously or under an alias.
Do tips require a buyer account?
No. Tips can be sent without registering — anonymously, or under an alias of your choice. Only purchases (where there is a real artwork to ship and a contract to record) require a buyer account.
What does the collector receive?
Every sale generates a provenance record and a purchase agreement between the artist and the collector. For digital originals, the collector additionally receives a Certificate of Authenticity.
Will the platform fee change?
We may adjust the fee over time as we add features. Existing sellers will be notified before any change takes effect, and the fee shown in your dashboard is always the one applied to that listing.
